LUXURY UMBRIA AMONG THE HILLS OF TODI AND ORVIETO
COD. 141 / Holiday with a guide to discover cities of art and naturalistic beauties
A quality proposal, dedicated to those who always want the best, both in terms of accommodation facilities, and routes and landscapes to visit. In a few days you can discover by bike the beauties of Orvieto and Todi, but also of small villages perched like Civitella del Lago, famous for its incredible panorama on Lake Corbara. All this while riding on roads without traffic, which wind through the natural parks of the Tiber and Mount Peglia and offer unique views of the turn of every curve. The basic package is self-guided, with roadbook and GPS track, but on request it is also possible to have an expert cycling guide at your service.
The itinerary develops in the South-West of Umbria, between the art cities of Orvieto and Todi, straddling the hills surrounding Lake Corbara, formed by a barrier along the Tiber River.
The proposal is intended for lovers of racing bikes with a good level of training because, although there are no extreme slopes, the two days are characterized by long climbs and many ups and downs. Alternatively, if the beauty of the route attracts you, but you do not feel sufficiently prepared, there is always the possibility of using the ebike.
The first day of the tour the most demanding climb is the one that leads up to Civitella del Lago, to which is added the final one to get to Todi and numerous other ups and downs along the entire route. The second day is characterized by the long ascent of Prodo, but never presents challenging slopes and has many features to catch his breath. A discreet workout and the right relationships will allow you to tackle the tour without problems and enjoy the views.
